Strengthening the Civic Fabric of Greater Atlanta – The Future of Journalism

Interns will work with SaportaReport and Atlanta Way 2.0 to explore how storytelling can educate and mobilize community action. By attending community events and regional discussions, interns will write articles to raise awareness of local initiatives shaping the city. The project aims to rebuild trust and connection in local democracy.

Participants will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of journalism and community-building. Under the leadership of veteran journalists, interns will document challenges and solutions defining the region’s path toward progress. This role cultivates the next generation of journalists and civic leaders.
