Smart Agriculture for Tribal Food Security
This project expands a Black Belt database highlighting assets of Middle Georgia that can be used for tourism and economic development. Interns will catalog historical events, cultural landmarks, and natural resources to serve as a multisector hub for the region. The goal is to leverage technology to enhance the recognition of the Black Belt region.
Deliverables include an inventory of significant historical milestones for each county and profiles of local traditions, art, and music. Interns will also expand the mapping of natural resources like national/state parks and interactive tourism assets. This work focuses on regional storytelling through data.
