Georgia Tech SCL
The Georgia Tech Supply Chain and Logistics Institute (SCL) is the largest supply chain and logistics leadership institute in the world providing comprehensive research, education, and outreach programs. For more than thirty years, SCL has been a world leader across a broad range of supply chain and logistics domains. Under the direction of Benoit Mentreuil, Workforce for Tomorrow fellow, Isabelle Barnett, will serve to help diversify and amplify SCL’s approach to problem-solving as part of the AI Manufacturing & Logistics vertical through the following deliverables:
- Conducting market scans on industry/government issues, and synthesizing the findings to help prioritize and scope research efforts and scope definition.
- Placing particular emphasis on unearthing broader social and non-technical issues and identifying past attempts to address an issue that may have failed or may have succeeded but not gained attraction for wider adoption
- Addressing Net Zero Freight Systems will be a likely focus area with potential other topics coming in these areas: Omni-channel Commerce; Circular Economy; AI-enablement; and Physical Internet Implementation
