Virtual Reality Career Exploration

READI Consulting, LLC is developing workforce training workshops to provide underserved youth with a virtual reality experience in career exploration. Each session will include assessments, surveys, onboarding students to the Oculus, evaluating data, and creating reports on the experience. These workshops are tuition-free and aim to prepare youth to enter the workforce, ultimately reducing the number of young adults who are unemployed but require training to qualify for open jobs.

SCC Interns will gain experience in tech-enabled learning tools; specifically, MEta2 VR headsets, the concept of gamification of education, program management, data collection, and analysis. Furthermore, interns will get a first-hand look at a social enterprise and what it looks like to engage communities up close in person.

With the help of SCC interns, this project will develop workforce training workshops to provide underserved youth tools for career exploration to ultimately reduce unemployment and engage communities. To view a larger image of this presentation, click here.
