The intern will support storytelling and qualitative research efforts for the CDC Foundation’s extreme weather and health program. This involves creating narrative content and an ArcGIS StoryMap to visualize project outcomes and community stories. The goal is to translate public health initiatives into powerful narratives.

A major component involves collaborating with Florida Clinicians for Climate Action (FCCA) to support doula-led disaster preparation for pregnant women. Interns will conduct qualitative interviews with doulas and research background content for scientific manuscripts. Skills gained include ArcGIS, storytelling, and qualitative research.
