Identifying Connectivity Routes for Bicyclists and Pedestrians in Southwest Georgia (Camilla, GA)
The Southwest Georgia Regional Commission proposes a regional assessment to evaluate current conditions and identify gaps in bicycle and pedestrian routes. The project aims to develop a prioritized network of safe and accessible routes linking key destinations. This work aligns with goals for multimodal accessibility and public health.
The intern will assist in creating a regional GIS-based inventory and connectivity map identifying existing routes and corridors for improvement. Interns will gain practical experience in transportation planning, stakeholder engagement, and developing policy recommendations. Deliverables include a regional assessment and digital mapping of routes.
