From Plans to Implementation: Establishing Metrics for ARC’s Metro Atlanta Climate Action Plan & Regional Transportation Electrification Plan (Atlanta, GA)

Working with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), interns will establish systems to track implementation metrics for regional climate and transportation electrification plans adopted in early 2025. They will develop methods to monitor key measures across sectors like energy, buildings, and waste. This data will help metro Atlanta transition toward net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.

The project requires a blend of technical skills, including data analysis, SQL, and business intelligence tools like Tableau. Interns will interact with various ARC departments, attend regional board meetings, and present their work to agency leadership. This is an opportunity to apply data science in a real-world policy-making environment.
