Empowering Unhoused Citizens through Data Democratization & Promoting Equitable Access to Life-Critical Benefits (Atlanta, GA)
The Empowering Unhoused Citizens Through Data Democratization project in Atlanta, Georgia, focuses on improving access to critical benefits for unhoused individuals by utilizing data. Interns will assist Mini City in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to the needs of unhoused citizens, helping to create systems that ensure they can access life-critical services such as healthcare, housing, and employment opportunities. The goal is to remove barriers to essential services by providing accurate, accessible, and actionable data that can guide decision-making and connect unhoused individuals to the resources they need.
This project is key to addressing the systemic challenges faced by unhoused citizens by empowering them with the data and tools needed to access vital services. By promoting data democratization, the work helps ensure that unhoused individuals are not left behind in decision-making processes and can more easily navigate and obtain essential benefits. The project also strengthens community efforts to combat homelessness by fostering collaboration between service providers and stakeholders. Ultimately, it works toward creating a society where all individuals, regardless of their housing status, have access to the support they need to thrive.
