Creative Data Translation for a Sustainable Fulton (Atlanta, GA)
This hybrid internship and artist residency pairs the Public Art Futures Lab with Fulton County’s Sustainability Division to transform building-performance data into public art. Interns will translate eight datasets related to energy use and recycling into creative narratives—such as visual, sonic, or sculptural works—to make government sustainability progress visible to the public.
Interns will have access to advanced technology, including VR headsets, 3D printers, and specialized design software, to move their concepts from research to prototypes. The project emphasizes the intersection of data science, art, and civic engagement, helping residents understand the impact of taxpayer investments through experiential storytelling.
