Cox Enterprises – Energy Conservation

Under Cox Enterprises Cox Conservesaims to zero waste to landfill by 2024, and to be carbon and water neutral by 2034. Under the direction of Kris Waters Workforce for Tomorrow Fellow Sruthi Kumar will be helping build our energy conservation project pipeline for future years, including project screening, costing, energy savings forecasting, carbon and economic benefit analysis, possible failure mechanisms, etc.  Sruthi will work closely with members of the Conservation Team, vendors and internal stakeholders to develop and implement environmentally beneficial energy conservation initiatives. Sruthi will focus on the following deliverables: 

• Perform detailed energy conservation assessments to develop and implement projects to reduce Cox’s environmental footprint and meet yearly environmental goals toward achieving neutrality. 
• As assigned manage the implementation of energy conservation projects and initiatives in support of the sustainability goals.   
• Provide an economic evaluation of prospective projects by evaluating rebates, researching emerging energy conservation technologies, analyzing payback, rate of return, etc.
