XR Education & Innovation Labs

The College of Coastal Georgia’s XR Education & Innovation Labs is developing Unlock, a virtual reality educational experience geared towards high school and early college students. Going beyond the traditional bounds of education, this experience is an immersive and engaging escape room, with content-driven puzzles, clear learning outcomes, and where learning is fun and exciting. Unlock will be available worldwide, but with special marketing and alignment to state standards in Georgia as well as local events in the Southeast Georgia region.

Two interns, Marybeth and Justin, conducted community research to improve product design and designed various elements within Unlock. The interns also increased student engagement throughout the state of Georgia and in particular southeast Georgia.

With the support of the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, and the assistance of two interns, this project leveraged virtual reality to promote learning and student engagement. To view a larger image of this presentation, click here.
